Studio Pottery"I work with both stoneware and porcelain, using traditional glazes such as oatmeal, celadons, ash and tenmoku and firing them in an updraft gas-fired reducing kiln. There is a contrast between the stoneware and porcelain, a total difference between the two - one very earthy, one very delicate and smooth. Within this practice I will often experiment with different shapes, clays and glazes - the pots are not static for me."
